May 31, 2015 at 02:55, the Volunteer Hose Company (1 & 27), Aetna (7,8,9,&10), Christiana (3,6,&12), Delaware City (15), Cecil County MD Chesapeake City (2&12), NCC Paramedic, and NCCPD were alrted to a residential fire in Lexington Farms in Bear DE. First units arrived to find a single family dwelling fully involved with heavy fire. The occupants of the home were already out of the home and safely away from the fire scene. The situation deemed that an exterior attack be made on the fire structure. Mutal aid, Kent County DE Citizen Hose (44), Clayton (45), Cecil County MD Singerly (313,314), FM 18, and American Red Cross, were called to assist at the scene and by covering the Voluneteer Hose Stations. After several hours the situation was placed under control and the units returned to their respective stations. The Volunteer Hose would like to thank all the neighboring Companies and Departments for their assistance on this scene.
