Ladder Company Assist on Working House Fire - Townsend, Delaware

Monday January 19th at 21:15hrs, Station 26, Ladder and Engine 1&27, and Kent County, MD Station 3 (Galena) for an Engine and Tanker were alerted for a house fire at 1096 Caldwell Corner Road in Townsend. Townsend Fire Company arrived on scene with a house fully involved, adding Stations 4&24 (Odessa) for a Tanker and the RIT assignment, Station 45 (Clayton) for a Ladder, Station 29 (Port Penn) for a BLS unit and a medic unit from Kent County, DE. NCC Medic 5D also responded after clearing an ALS call in Middletown. Crews worked and managed the fire scene for over 2 1/2 hours to get the fire under control. The State Fire Marshals office is investigating. Units responding from Middletown were Rescue 1, Engine 27-5, Ladder 27 and the Air Unit.
