At 16:27 New Castle County Dispatch alerted the VHC for an Engine to assist Christiana FC (Stations 3, 6 & 12) with a residential fire. Shortly after dispatch, Deputy 10 (Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company Deputy Chief) arrived on the scene to find heavy fire in the middle of a unit block of townhouses. The working fire upgrade brought an additional engine from the VHC. Units from the VHC assisted with fire suppression and overhaul as well as establishing the Alpha-side R.I.T (Rapid Intervention Team.) Units operated until cleared by command.
