At 02:17 hours New Castle County Dispatch alerted the VHC, along with NCC Paramedic Unit 10 and DSP Aviation for a motorcycle wreck on Bethel Church Road in the area of the Maryland/Delaware state line. Units arrived to find a motorcyclist who had struck a utility pole on the side of the road which caused his motorcycle to break in half. Sadly the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. VHC units cleared and turned the scene over to the DSP Fatal Accident Investigation Team.
