At 14:01 this afternoon the New Castle County Fireboard alerted the VHC for the engine and ladder, along with Station 29 (Port Penn) to assist Stations 4/24 with a vehicle fire reportedily threatening a structure. Units arrived to find a large recreational vehicle with an active fire inside, with no extension to the nearby residence. VHC members assisted with extinguishment and overhaul of the vehicle until cleared by command. VHC Units Responding: Engines 1-6 & 27-5, Tower 27, BLS B-27.
