On Saturday September 13, 2014, the Volunteer Hose Company attended the annual Delaware Volunteer Firemen’s convention and parade in Dover. This year Tower 27, the Command Vehicle and Engine 1-6 were entered into apparatus competition. The Volunteer Hose Company is proud to say that two of these trucks brought home awards. Tower 27 won best appearing ladder truck while 1-6 won best appearing over all apparatus. Congratulations goes out to all Volunteer Fire Companies in and out of state who worked hard in preparing and participating in this year’s convention.
