On the afternoon of August 21 stations 1&27, 4&24, and 26 were alerted to a residential fire in Springmill in Mipddletown.  First unit arrived to report fire showing from the A side of the structure. Hand lines were put in service, water supply was established, and the structure was laddered. While working this alarm the stations were also alerted to a second residential fire also in Springmill.  Units responded from the first scene and investigated the second alarm.  The second alarm was placed under control and the units returned to the first alarm to assist the crews.  The fire caused extensive damage to the structure of the first alarm, the situation was placed under control a short time later and all units returned to their respective stations.
