At 11:40 Wednesday afternoon, June 30th, stations 1 & 27 along with stations 4 & 24, NCC paramedics and DE State police aviation unit, Trooper 4 were dispatched to an MVC with heavy entrapment on route 301 NB in Middletown. Units arrived to find a box truck vs. Del Dot impact attenuator truck and confirmed entrapment. Both lanes of NB Route 301 were shut down while crews worked to extricate patient. Once extrication was complete, patient was transported via trooper 4. A second patient was transported by ground. The scene was placed under control and roadway remained closed briefly for cleanup.
