Members of Volunteer Hose Company held a fire prevention display to supported the Varity Children’s Charity second Annual 5K Run at the Middletown Square Shopping Center. A display table was set up where membership applications, fire prevention material and other handouts were made available to the public. Several packets were given to the children and parents reminding them to change their smoke detector batteries at daylight savings time on November 1st. The Volunteer Hose Companies EMS Lieutentant Phil Smith supported the day’s festivities by running in the race. Congratulation to the winners and those who supported the event.
