During Fire Prevention Week, members and career staff of the Volunteer Hose Company conducted fire prevention presentations at several schools and daycare facilities throughout the Middletown area. The children were given classroom instruction on fire safety and prevention, and then had the opportunity to look over the fire trucks and see what a firemen wears in the event there is a fire. So far, the members have seen approximately 800 children during the past week.
