Multiple Alarms - Middletown, DE

Sunday morning, January 4th, the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown was alerted to two emergencies in district within 4 minutes of each other. The first was for an MVC with a vehicle reported on fire on Armstrong Corner Road at 01:05hrs. Rescue 27, B-27 and A-27 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle accident with the vehicle on fire and all occupants out of the vehicle. Medic 5D was requested due to injuries sustained by one of the occupants. Rescue 1 redirected to the second emergency for a house fire. At 01:09hrs, Stations 1&27, Engine and Rescue 4&24 and Engine 26 were alerted for a Residential Fire in Fields Terrace. Crews arrived to find a small attic fire that was quickly extinguished. Crews operated the scene for over 90 minutes. Units operating at the house fire were E27-5, Tower 27, Rescue 1, Rescue 24, E24-3 and E26-3. FM-20 was onscene to investigate.
