Monday evening, March 9th at 20:22hrs, Stations 1&27 were alerted for an Engine and Rescue to assist Christiana Fire Company on a house fire on East Moyer Drive in Oakwood. Christiana units arrived with heavy fire showing from the two story residence. Crews from Christiana made a quick knockdown of the fire, with all mutual aid companies assisting with overhaul. The Volunteer Hose Company responded with Rescue 27, Rescue 1 and Engine 27-5. Crews were on scene for about an hour.
