Assist Townsend on Working House Fire - DuPont Highway

Saturday evening, May 2nd at 22:42hrs, Station 26, Stations 1&27 for a ladder and engine, Station 4&24 for a engine and rescue, Station 44 for a engine and ladder, Station 45 for an engine and Station 29 for the RIT assignment were dispatched to a working house fire along DuPont Highway near Willey Farms. Fire department personnel arrived to find a single family dwelling with conditions showing. Townsend command quickly advised all units of exterior attack only.
Crews from Middletown arrived and took the roof assignment. The crew from Tower 27 set up the apparatus on side B of the structure and placed the aerial to the roof and completed ventillation. Engine 5 and Rescue 1 crews assisted with fire attack and overhaul of the structure. Middletown crews were onscene for approximately an hour and a half.
