Thursday afternoon, June 4th at 12:31hrs, Station 26, Ladder & Engine 1&27, Engine & Tanker 4&24, Ladder & Engine 44, Engine 45, NCC Medic 5 and Kent County, MD station 3 for the RIT assignment were dispatched to a working house fire with a person reported trapped on Pine Tree Road near Harris Road in Townsend. Townsend command arrived on scene moments after dispatch to find a camper trailer near a single family dwelling involved. Townsend units Rescue 26 and Engine 26-3, followed by Tower 27 and Engine 27-5 arrived and placed (2) 1 3/4" handlines in service, quickly knocking down the fire. Crews completed a quick search of the camper finding no occupants inside as was initially reported. Command cleared Stations 44 & 45 and re-directed KM Engine 3 to Station 26 for the cover-up assignment.
