Tuesday, October 14, 2009 at 16:13 hrs, Stations 1&27 were alerted for an engine to assist Christiana Fire Company on a working house fire in the Caravel Farms community. The home, located on the 300 block of Manubay Court sustained significant damage to the second floor and roof. Flames were already coming from the roof when the first engine from Christiana arrived on scene. Rescue 27 made the response on the road after clearing a previous fire alarm near Middletown. The crew assisted with various tasks on the fire scene until released by the incident commander. The Delaware State Fire Marshals office is investigating the cause.
