Monday afternoon, December 21st at 16:45hrs, Stations 1&27 and NCC Medic 6C were alerted for a vehicle accident with injuries and a vehicle on fire on Old Summit Road, north of the C&D Canal. Engine 6 and BLS B-6 from the Christiana Fire Company was added to the response also. Fire Department personnel arrived to find a single vehicle accident with the vehicle well involved and the lone occupant already out of the vehicle. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and assisted with patient care of the occupant.
