Passing of Past Chief Charles (Charlie) Price - Middletown, De

It is with deep regret that the Volunteer Hose Company announces the passing of Past Fire Chief Charles Price. Chief Price held the office of Fire Chief of the department from 1962 until 1971. He was a Past President of the Delaware State Fire Chiefs Association, former Mayor of the Town of Middletown and was active in the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post until his passing. Many will remember him actively selling the trade mark Buddy Poppies as recent as this past fall. Funeral services will be held 3 pm on Sunday, March 28th at Station 27, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, 27 W. Green Street, Middletown. Family and friends may visit from 1-3 pm on Sunday at the fire house and from 7-9 pm on Saturday evening, March 27th at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE. Interment will include full military and firemen’s honors at Forest Cemetery, located at North Broad Street and Cedar Lane Road.
