Tuesday evening at 18:15hrs, Stations 1&27, Station 26 for an engine and rescue and Stations 4&24 for an engine were alerted for a multi-residential fire at the Hampstead Court Apartments. Townsend Fire Company Rescue 26 responded from the Applebees resteraunt in Dove Run Shopping Center and arrived with smoke showing. Chief Bailey, Engine 27-5 and Tower 27 arrived moments after. The fire was contained to the kitchen within the residence. The Delaware State Fire Marshals office is investigating the cause of the fire.
