Special Visitor - Station 27

Thursday, September 3, 2015
The Volunteer Hose Company was visited by an old friend today. Life Member James Crothers stopped by to see the fire station after moving away from the area several years ago. Mr. Crothers had owned the grain company on Summit Bridge Road at Boyd's Corner Road. Many years ago, he would send his water tank trucks to fires when requested. He was also instrumental in getting Volunteer Hose in the tanker and ladder business. He told us many stories from his day and he got an update from us on how the company has grown since his time here.
