Tuesday evening at 19:46hrs, Stations 1&27, Engine 10 (Aetna) and Cecil County Engine 2 (Chesapeake City) were alerted for a house fire in the Brennan Estates Townhome community. While units were enroute, NCC Medic 5, Ladder 12 (Christiana), Engine 6 (Christiana), Rescue 15 (Delaware City) and BLS unit A-29 (Port Penn) were added to the incident due to additional calls being recieved at the communications center. 1-7 arrived with no conditions from the 3 story townhome. Upon entry of the residence, crews found a smoke condition on the 2nd floor. A small section of a wall and carpet were found smoldering in a 3rd floor bedroom. Crews extinguished the hot spots and checked for extension into the attic. The Delaware State Fire Marshals office is investigating.
