Saturday August 20th brought another successful open house at the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown. Each year, the fire department host our annual open house in conjunction with the Peach Festival, which is held the third Saturday of every August. With an estimated 27,000 people in town for the event, there were many who stopped by to see the many displays on hand, gather some fire prevention materials, tour the station and talk to the firefighters who were on hand. Throughout the day, the department had 4 staffed ambulances that were answering EMS emergencies within our district.
