Sunday morning at 00:41hrs, the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown was alerted to assist Chesapeake City on a residential fire. With a crew in the station, Engine 1 responded moments after dispatch. The crew from Engine 1 arrived on scene with a smoke condition within the residence and placed a line in service. The fire was quickly identified to be in the walls of the residence and extinguished.
Tower 27 and Engine 27-5 from the main station arrived shortly afterwards and assisted with overhaul of the structure.
Fire department units were on scene for 2 hours assisting.
