Saturday, March 17th around 13:22hrs, the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown was alerted for a woods fire along Lakeside Drive in the Lakeside neighborhood. Crews arrived to find a football size section of woods burning. Additional assistance for brush trucks was requested, adding Odessa and Townsend Fire Companies to the incident.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
