Sunday morning at 05:26hrs, the Odessa Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment on route 299 at route 1. Shortly after dispatch, Middletown Police Officers confirmed the correct location down the road further in the area of Silver Lake Road, which is the first due area for the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown.
While Middletown was being alerted, units from Odessa and NCC Paramedics continued on the response.
Firefighters from Middletown and Odessa used extrication tools to remove the occupant from one of the vehicles. The driver of the second vehicle was able to exit the vehicle without major extrication efforts.
Two patients were transported to Christiana Hospital for further evaluation.
