Tuesday morning at 01:09hrs., the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown was alerted to assist Townsend on a house fire in the area of the 600 block of Union Church Road. Townsend units arrived to find a vehicle fire in the driveway with exposure to the residence. Crews from Townsend quickly extinguished the vehicle fire without additional assistance.
