Saturday, several members from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown attended the annual conference parade that is held in Dover each September. For several weeks, many of the active crew had been working to clean the apparatus and get to parade condition! Awards received following the judging of apparatus and show in the parade were: Second Place for Best Appearing Ambulance: A-1 Third Place for Best Appearing Engine: 1-6 First Place for Best Appearing Command Unit: Chief's Vehicle Best Appearing Delaware Fire Apparatus from Any Category: Tower 27 Tower 27 has won this award every year since being placed in service. It has won this award for 4 years in a row, while remaining in service to the Middletown community and surrounding areas. This year has been an especially busy year for all of the apparatus that received awards. Everyone's hard work and dedication paid off once again! Great job to all who participated with preparing the apparatus!
