First Annual Hero's Night Out - Middletown Main Street
Thursday, September 3, 2015
The first annual Hero's Night Out, sponsored by Middletown Main Street and local merchants, was held October 16th to recognize and thank local police officers and firefighters, as well as to help them raise money for charity. Fire trucks and police cars were set up in the municipal parking lot on Main Street across from the Everett Theatre for residents to see. The local merchants agreed to donate 10 percent of proceeds from the night to local charities chosen by each department.
The Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown will donate proceeds to the Delaware Burn Foundation.
The Middletown Police Department will donate their portion the A.I. DuPont Child Oncology Center.
The Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown would like to thank everyone who stopped out to support the cause, and particularly the local businesses that donated, including 1861 Restaurant, Dogtown, Elana's Broad Street Florist, Femme Fatale, Immediato's Bistro, Istoria, Java House Café, Pat's Select, People First Insurance, Saving Grace Christian Bookstore, Sully's Irish Pub, and Fromage.
