At 20:53 hours on Monday 12/3/12 Volunteer Hose Company along with Stations 4 and 24, 26, 29 and Kent County Station 44 were alerted to a High Life Hazard Structure Fire at the Middletown High School for a light fixture on fire in the Gymnasium. Units arriving found the light fixture had exploded spreading debris and smoke throughout the gymnasium. The fire had been extinguised prior to arrival. Ventilation was performed. Situation was placed under control.
