At 12:57 this afternoon New Castle County Dispatch alerted the VHC, along with Engine & Rescue 4&24 (Odessa) as well as Engine & Tanker 29 (Port Penn) for a reported shed fire. Units arrived to find a small shed in the rear of a yard mostly involved in fire. Crews stretched an 1&3/4 inch handline and quickly knocked down the bulk of the fire and overhauled the structure. Units operated for a little over an hour. VHC Units Responding: Engines 1-6, 27-5 & 27-3 & Rescue 27.
