At 9:20 this morning New Castle County Dispatch alerted Station 26 (Townsend) and the VHC for a motor vehicle collision in the area of New Discovery Road and Summit Bridge Road (south of Townsend.) Units arrived to find a two vehicle collision with the driver of each vehicle being pinned in their vehicles. VHC units were assigned to the northern vehicle and performed a door pop to access and remove the patient. The ambulance transported the driver while the rescue was cleared by command and returned to quarters. VHC Units Responding: Rescue 27 and Ambulance B-1.
