For the second day in a row Townsend, Middletown, and Odessa Fire Companies were alerted to a working house fire in Townsend's district. First units arriving found a single family dwelling with smoke and fire showing with a report of a subject still in the house. After search was made the report was negative of a subject in the house. Several hand lines were put in service and the fire was extinguished. Other units providing mutual aid were Smyrna and Clayton Fire Companies, New Castle County Paramedics, New Castle County Police, and several BLS units. The incident was placed under control and all units returns safely to their respective fire houses.
