Volunteer Hose was alerted to assist Station 26, Townsend, with an MVC with Rollover at the above location. Units arriving found a pickup truck had left the roadway and hit a telephone pole causing the pole to break in half and the truck to roll over. The truck landed upright, leaving the driver pinned in the vehicle. Upon Rescue 27's arrival, the crew retrieved equipment from Station 26's amubulance and assisted with removing the driver. Once removed, the driver was transported to the trauma center. The scene was turned over to Delaware State Police. Taylors Bridge Road remained closed for some time until the pole and wires could be cleared.
