At 09:59 New Castle County Dispatch (Fireboard) alerted the VHC, along with Engine and Rescue 4 & 24 (Odessa VFC) and Tanker 26 (Townsend VFC) for a multi-residential fire with entrapment. Tower 27 quickly made the response with a crew in station and was advised by Fireboard that a second call was reporting no entrapment. Crews quickly extinguished the fire with water and dry chemical extinguishers and performed extensive overhaul and salvage work in the structure.
