Just after 12 noon on March 17, 2013, Volunteer Hose Company, Stations 1 & 27 were alerted to a Motor Vehicle Collision with other hazards. Arriving units found a single vehicle had driven off the roadway and hit a telephone pole, causing the pole to break off at the base. The driver refused medical treatment. Scene was turned over to Delaware State Police.
