Tonight, our crew traveled to Chesapeake Utilities Safety Town for hands-on training scenarios.
Safety Town is a unique training facility made up of "shed-like" homes designed to simulate gas odor and leak conditions that we may encounter on real emergency calls.
During the training, our firefighters had the opportunity to rotate through various critical roles — including command post operations, evacuation procedures, and pinpointing the source of gas leaks.
This type of realistic, scenario-based training helps sharpen our skills and ensures we’re prepared to respond safely and efficiently when our community needs us.
Thank you to Chesapeake Utilites for having us and another special Thank You to Citizen's Hose Company for covering our station.
