On Tuesday morning February 17th, VHC and surrounding departments responded to 423 North Broad Street for a Building Fire. Middletown Police Department arrived on scene and reported a visible fire. First arriving engine “Squad 27” reported smoke showing and established their own water supply. Squad 27 officer quickly confirmed a working basement fire. The crew from the squad deployed a handline to the basement to extinguish the fire. Additional arriving units assisted with extinguishment in the large structure and supplemental fireground duties.
